A little about me

Post by Fliskets on Fri Aug 24, 2018 10:54 am

A little about me...

Hay'ya Everyone... I'm Kat.. I'm a Female Storyteller for the RPG World of Darkness.
I started playing White Wolf's Vampire The Masquerade RP back in 1996-1997 (Minds Eye Theater)
The very 1st Clan i was exposed to was Vampire Clan Malkavian.. I played a sired as a childr to my friend at the time who introduced me to the game.... after that 1st taste and i was hooked.
like a ghoul's blood addiction ... I could not get enough of the game...
So majority of my Role-Playing experience stems from there.

Sadly as I am sure that majority of us all have gone through is having to deal with sh!tty role playing partners.

・)ノ゙ Hello ♡

I just recently joined and everything is still very new and confusing for me. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in time. Hee-Hee

My avatar I drew myself.
I'm somewhat of a freelance artist. Though mostly I get commissioned to draw furry-porn.
LoL I have recently gotten back into drawing humans.

I have heard so many good things about this site I just had to check it out. Majority of my roleplay experience has been as a Storyteller for Vampire the Masquerade. (kinda like a Dungeon Master for Dungeons & Dragons)

I have played some free-form RP in the past , but mostly my partners ..... Ehhh... Kinda sucked.
I'm used to creating very elaborate posts and giving long responses, along with using picture to set the atmosphere. So I'm hoping that I can attract some people and not get the one liners that I have in the past.
Guess I'll see right. LoL

Im very open to chatting about anything.
So feel free to talk with me ♡

[B]So you want to start a roleplay with me?
[B]Awesome I'm down for that...
[B]But there are some rules we need to go over first.

⌘ We both have to decide on the theme of the RP, (Action, mystery or Romance) and go over what we expect from each other so no one gets upset or gathers the wrong impression.
This can be anything from talking casually between characters, planning an adventure. Or even flirting and romance.
I am open to most any kind of RP.

⌘ I would prefer no one-liners or single word responders. ( unless the situation would call for such) I like people to give descriptive responses. At least 3-4  sentences per responce would be preferred. I want to know your character feels and is thinking.

⌘ I am up for Action Adventuer, Mystery, Horror, suspense and even romantic RP.
I also don't mind Smutt/Yiff. But I would prefer it to happen naturally in a story rather then being pushed into it. And it should not be the soul focus of the RP story.

⌘ I prefer to use my own character(s) rather then ones created by others. I am not here to RolePlay your premade fantasy boy/girlfriend.
(Check my Wiki listings for a list of my current available characters)

⌘ I do not role-play Real People in RL.
( such as "celebrities", "J-Pop Idols",  or "YouTube Personalities" ... That sh!t is boring AF!)

⌘ I will not Role Play  "Existing fictional characters from TV shows, Movies or Books"
(this includes Sonic, Knuckles, Kim Possible, Hermione or anyone else along those lines as my main for a story.,)

⌘ I prefer my role playing Partners to have a character wiki with details about the character they wish to poetry. I would like to read about them so I have somewhat of a idea about who they are.

⌘ I prefer to role play with peoples OC's rather then your  potrayal of a already established fictional character.

⌘ oh and lastly, if you are my RP partner you will be expected to help lead the story. I'm not going to be the only one who is contributing to the RP.

This is probably rutine for most players and storytellers alike, still its important to reinforce this idea to purge the opposite one.

Some so called roleplaying games or RPG as The Legend of Zelda, Knights of the Old Republic, World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy, among others allows the player to become a character inside a fictious world, some of these even permit the player to make choices, which affects your character's personality and fate, some are just limited to push buttons and kill stuff that just happends to pass by.

Roleplaying games as defined by White Wolfpublishing inside The World of Darkness take this concept to a whole new level. Making choices that transform your character, or performing as you were your character, its not a complement to the game but the main stuff of it. In Vampire: The Masquerade all players MUST play and describe their character's action as close as possible to the concept of that character. From the gestures and the body language, to the words that she actually spoke, all got to be part and an extension of your characters Nature, Demeanor, Concept, Clan and being a Vampire of course.

This game puts limitations that are necesary to play the game itself, such as rules, disciplines to have 5 levels and each to have a name to label it, health bar have penalties related to how injured is your character and so on, that its important to comunicate between players (outside the game context) and to the storyteller how are things going as fair and transparent as possible. This doesn't mean however, that vampires trigger their powers to activate them, or that they spend blood points, neither that they are in "-2" because of the injuries they hold.

For simplicity, combat scenes will have some comments to declare what disciplines are active (i.e. Celerity) at the given round, or to attack and parry, since I comprehend that its not fair to ask for detailed descriptions of a sword swing technique since players simply can't know everything that her character know, still its important to make your  descriptions interesting enought rather than just a collection of acronisms and rules calls with disciplines activations.

Out-of-combat scenes however are very different, each discipline or action taken by the character must be declared properly from the point of view of the character in the current context she is playing in, sometimes, some players like to answer as quick as possible, excited by the next post to come, sometimes they are just lazy to explain and describe their characters actions as needed, in either case DON'T (if you are expecting the game to continue), take your time to think what would your character do at any give situation and try to play the role as good as you can, I'm sure you will find alot of fun in it, if you're not this game probably isn't the best option for you.

When the player is the one talking, if you really have to, it is mandatory to note it writting down "Note out of character:" or "OOC:" followed by the comment you urgently need to speak up. This is permited but please try not to do it often.

。・ω・)ノ゙ Hello ♡
You'll have to forgive me I'm still trying to figure out how this site navigates.
I just recently joined and everything is still very new and confusing for me. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in time. Hee-Hee

Yes I drew me avatar myself.
I'm somewhat of a freelance artist. Though mostly I get commissioned to draw furry-porn.
*LoL* I have recently gotten back into drawing humans.

I have heard so many good things about this site I just had to check it out. Majority of my roleplay experience has been as a Storyteller for Vampire the Masquerade. (kinda like a Dungeon Master for Dungeons & Dragons)
I'm looking for a place to branch out from the dice roll system and play free-form.

Hello ♡

You'll have to forgive me I'm still trying to figure out how this site navigates.

I just recently joined and everything is still very new and confusing for me. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in time. Hee-Hee

I have played some free-form RP in the past , but mostly my partners ..... Ehhh... Kinda sucked.

I'm used to creating very elaborate posts and giving long responses, along with using picture to set the atmosphere. So I'm hoping that I can attract some people and not get the one liners and that *OwO* sh!t that I have in the past.

Sadly as I am sure that majority of us all have gone through  having to deal with sh!tty role playing partners. I'm jut hoping that I don't run into too many on here

Guess I'll see right. LoL

As far as standers for roleplaying go... My bar is set kina low.

I don't really care that much if you  poor grammar, Correct punctuation or misspellings, as long as what you're trying to get across to as legible to some degree.

I would prefer people to be descriptive and narrate in the third person. And use Colored Text or " " when you are speaking in character and (( )) when talking OoC.

When the player, not the Character is the one talking... (if you really have to) it is mandatory to note it ! Simple write down "Note out of character:" or "OOC:" followed by (( )) and the comment you urgently need to speak up. This is Paramount ! please try not to do it often because it takes me out of the immersion of the story.

If you need to, Im very open to chatting about anything outside the RP.

So feel free to talk with me ♡
